Teachers strike

Teachers, College Lecturers, and Department of Work and Pensions staff on strike against pay offers lower than inflation, i.e. pay cuts

No work today because the teachers are on strike so Ben's school was closed. Now don't get me wrong I think most teachers do a great job and I wouldn't want to do it. They have been offered 2.73% this year.The nurses pay offer has just been announced we have been offered 2.75% this year, given the rapidly rising cost of living thats hardly going to allow the ordinary staff nurse to buy petrol. Just how would everyone react if nurses went on strike?
Out of interest at present a newly qualified staff nurse gets about £20,000, a newly qualified teacher about the same.
