Ah! 'The Horse' - many a drunken night in there, most of them behind the bar!
I know you aren't staying in there tonight so it's safe to now tell you that it's haunted (not surprising as it is the oldest pub in Ciren).
I worked there on and off for 5 years but NEVER spent a night there. It's actually quite famous as a haunted pub - I'll tell you the story sometime.
Glad you like Ciren - it is posh! Prince Charles only lives down the road and the Royal Agricultural College is there too. I have to say that I always thought it took itself far too seriously! Still it's very pretty and you are right, the church is stunning (bigger than most cathedrals).
So, what you are really doing is a tour of the charity shops of South West Britain!!
