Flat pack furniture

New desks arrived for me and Jill at work this week, the only problem being that they were flat packed. So Jill and I decided put them together, we couldn't be doing for waiting for someone to do it for us. Needless to say there was a bit missing but I wasn't giving up! eventually the bit was located and Jill and I now have nice new desks.

Weston Park Museum Friday 3rd November

Today Ben and I visited Weston Park Museum in Sheffield it has recently been refurbished. Ben had an inset day so I had taken a day off work, we wanted to look at what they had done to the museum. The refurbishment is quite impressive but I must admit to being a little underwhelmed!
The most interesting thing that happened was being approached by one of the staff who told me that I couldn't take photos with my sort of camera (a Digital SLR). I asked what sort of camera was OK and she looked a little flustered and said that camera phones etc were OK. I asked her to explain why this rule was so, she told me it was because of copyright. I asked that if it was because of copyright why was a camera phone OK? She didn't have an answer for this! I suggested she fetch some one more senior to explain things to me she walked off, no one else materialised. Just to add to the contrariness of this I heard another staff member suggesting subjects for photography to another visitor.
